Dental Sterilization TechnicianThis is a full-time position. Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-7:00 pmPosition SummaryThe Dental Sterilization Technician is responsible for increasing the efficiency of the dental team by cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing dental equipment for use during dental procedures to ensure patients and staff are not exposed to germs from unsterile equipment. This position is also responsible for cleaning and preparing treatment rooms for use between patients and at end of day. This position reports to the Center Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.Position ResponsibilitiesCleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing dental instruments according to proceduresFollowing manufacturers' instructions for maintaining sterilization equipment properlyRecording/documenting information, such as maintenance and sterilization processes and notesCleaning/disinfecting treatment rooms between patientsTransporting dirty dental instruments to the dedicated sterilization areaTracking and ordering sterilization suppliesAdhering to standard protocols for infection controlWearing personal protective equipment when requiredPerforming other routine office functions when required.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent.Certificates and LicensesCurrent Basic Life Support Certification or agreement to obtain by the completion of the ninety-day introductory period.ExperienceNo experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
